Staffa

Staffa’s colourful stamps were produced by the controversial English stamp dealer Clive Feigenbaum. They were issued with the permission of the island’s owner at the time, but were produced primarily for collectors. The postal service, such as it is,  operates daily between April and September (weather permitting) for the 20,000 visitors each year to the uninhabited island. Mail is deposited in a posting box, taken out by a boatman and then transported to the official post offices on Mull and Iona for onward transmission.
